SoapUI OSS apidocs are outdated in April 2024
Hi - It looks like this was fixed about 6 months ago, but now that v5.7.2 has come out, the docs are still showing v 5.6.0. Is there a way to build these from source code? https://www.soapui.org/apidocs/soapui/index.html?_ga=2.194622637.1459452027.1713396342-1271128276.1710098269 These docs are a really great resource. I hope you can address this soon!4Views0likes0CommentsRe: How to read and use SoapUI API for non Dev people?
I enjoyed reading through this thread. This is a classic approach that can work for learning any kind of software language; not just Groovy, and the participants showed professionalism and respect for each other. The Forum met its purpose!8Views0likes0CommentsDo any SOAPUI tools (free or paid) support HAR format?
Hi, I just learned about a cool format for capturing and saving http traffic that was captured using HttpMonitor tools (like Fiddler, Charles or Chrome/Firefox Dev tools ). It's called *HAR* format (http archive recording), and when loaded into a HAR-enabled tool, you can replay your entire web session for troubleshooting, analysis or reporting. The recording is a sequence of JSON objects describing headers, metadata and payload of requests and headers + status code for responses. headers returned by the server (response body can be captured if you add extra steps). Does SOAPUI have any kind of feature that would enable me to import a HAR file and convert it into soapui test steps? This would be great productivity booster.2.5KViews1like4CommentsRe: Request Editor: Unable to add new parameter
There is actually more going on. A few days after my unsuccessful attempts to add a third parameter to my POST request, when I went in and opened the Request editor, I saw a long list of duplicate entries that appeared to match what I had tried to add earlier that week. When I tried to remove these extra entries, the editor "froze" and the entire user interface started to look strange...as if the application was out of memory. I was able to use other parts of SOAPUI without issues, but whenever I try to modify the parameter using the REST Request editor, the application stops responding. Is there an alternate way to get the parameter added or to resolve the memory issue? ------------------------------------------------------------------------- OS = windows 7 pro SOAPUI = version 4.6, 32-bit java = v7, 32-bit (I think....not sure how to tell)11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1KViews0likes0CommentsRequest Editor: Unable to add new parameter
I have an REST method that I cam setting up to be used in a testCase. It uses two HEADER parameters and requires a TEMPLATE parameter at the end of the url path. When invoked, the format will be http://<server>/<serviceName>/rest/<resource>/{id} My HEADER params got populated automatically (they are pretty much universal for the whole API). However, when I try to use the '+' icon in the editor to add a TEMPLATE param to the list, my entry does not get added to the list. Just to be sure, I have tried this several times. The grid still contains my original header parameters (one for utoken, one for content-type). I am following instructions on soapui.org from this page >> http://www.soapui.org/REST-Testing/unde ... parameters11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.5KViews0likes2CommentsMore differentiation between Paid and Free SOAPUI solutions
It seems that quite often SOAPUI Pro users will post items on the SOAPUI community board instead of the paid SOAPUI PRO board. Is there a way to more clearly identify these kinds of posts? I've seen this done in the main website, but sometimes in the Forums, it is a huge jumble of information. It would be nice if there was a special label or tag that could be applied to posts that are for PRO version only. Another thing that would help is a reference showing a high level side-by-side comparison of the two APIs (free versus paid). Does such a thing exist? thanks11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.5KViews0likes1CommentRe: JSON parameters and POST request parameter handling
@ericB: Thanks for the Groovy script! Would you happen to have an example of how to reference these properties in a sample REST call? I'm still a bit of a noob with both Groovy and SOAPUI.11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions22KViews0likes0Comments
