Re: [RESOLVED]jdbc driver failing from maven
to answer my own question .... I had the dependency in the wrong section ... it needs to be in the plugin section <plugin> <groupId>com.github.redfish4ktc.soapui</groupId> <artifactId>maven-soapui-extension-plugin</artifactId> <version>4.5.1.3</version> <configuration> <!--The location of your soapUI setting file--> <projectFile>/data/servers/project.xml</projectFile> <junitReport>true</junitReport> <printReport>true</printReport> <testFailIgnore>true</testFailIgnore> </configuration> <dependencies> <dependency> <groupId>mysql</groupId> <artifactId>mysql-connector-java</artifactId> <version>5.1.25</version> <scope>runtime</scope> </dependency> </dependencies> </plugin> </plugins>11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions4.6KViews1like0CommentsRe: [RESOLVED]jdbc driver failing from maven
yes, I have it configured like this : <dependency> <groupId>mysql</groupId> <artifactId>mysql-connector-java</artifactId> <version>5.1.25</version> <scope>runtime</scope> </dependency> is that the correct way to do it? unfortunately, it does not make any difference11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions4.6KViews0likes0Comments[RESOLVED]jdbc driver failing from maven
hi there I'm experiencind a jdbc connection failure problem when running my tests via maven, (they work fine from the UI) I get the following Exception : 10:13:01,735 ERROR [SoapUI] An error occured [Failed to init connection for drvr [com.mysql.jdbc.Driver], connectionString [jdbc:mysql://vhostname/db_name?user=user&password=password]], see error log for details com.eviware.soapui.support.SoapUIException: Failed to init connection for drvr [com.mysql.jdbc.Driver], connectionString [jdbc:mysql://jdbc:mysql://vhostname/db_name?user=user&password=password] the error log only contains the following : 2013-07-23 10:05:10,990 ERROR [errorlog] java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver at java.sql.DriverManager.getDriver(DriverManager.java:289) at com.eviware.soapui.support.jdbc.JdbcUtils.initConnection(JdbcUtils.java:52) at com.eviware.soapui.impl.wsdl.panels.teststeps.JdbcSubmit.getDatabaseConnection(JdbcSubmit.java:218) at com.eviware.soapui.impl.wsdl.panels.teststeps.JdbcSubmit.prepare(JdbcSubmit.java:261) the correct version of the plugin was added to ~/.m2/repository but it doesn't seem to get picked up it was mentioned in another post to copy the .jar file of the mysql connector to the path for the maven plugin, but I don't understand what that means in this context, any suggestions please? thanks n advance11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions6.1KViews0likes6CommentsRe: JDBC Request step failing from maven
I'm experiencing a similar problem when running my tests via maven, (they work fine from the UI) I get the following Exception : 10:13:01,735 ERROR [SoapUI] An error occured [Failed to init connection for drvr [com.mysql.jdbc.Driver], connectionString [jdbc:mysql://vhostname/db_name?user=user&password=password]], see error log for details com.eviware.soapui.support.SoapUIException: Failed to init connection for drvr [com.mysql.jdbc.Driver], connectionString [jdbc:mysql://jdbc:mysql://vhostname/db_name?user=user&password=password] the error log only contains the following : 2013-07-23 10:05:10,990 ERROR [errorlog] java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver java.sql.SQLException: No suitable driver at java.sql.DriverManager.getDriver(DriverManager.java:289) at com.eviware.soapui.support.jdbc.JdbcUtils.initConnection(JdbcUtils.java:52) at com.eviware.soapui.impl.wsdl.panels.teststeps.JdbcSubmit.getDatabaseConnection(JdbcSubmit.java:218) at com.eviware.soapui.impl.wsdl.panels.teststeps.JdbcSubmit.prepare(JdbcSubmit.java:261) the correct version of the plugin was added to ~/.m2/repository but it doesn't seem to get picked up it was mentioned to copy the .jar file of the mysql connector to the path for the maven plugin, but I don't understand what that means in this context, any suggestions please?1.9KViews0likes0CommentsHTTP DELETE getting changed to GET when used with mvn plugin
When I set up a REST test case which has a HTTP DELETE step it works fine when I run it from SoapUI gui tool. However when I run it from maven the DELETE seems to get sent as a GET. I have attached the project file and the pom.xml file. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.9KViews0likes1CommentRe: Passing Response field into URI path for next test
Ok got that passing the value using both the REST test step and the HTTP test step. However, it's passing the value url encoded ie. subscribers%2F23 instead of subscribers/23 and as a result I am getting 404. Anyway to stop that happening?11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions1.2KViews0likes0CommentsHow to assert the value of a repeated response element
hi there i'm trying to assert for a specific response element from a REST request. The response can contain up to 20 results within the one one response e.g "totalCount": 1375, "results": [ { "title": "florence italy may 12 ryder ...", "metadata": { "caption": "florence italy may 12 ryder ...", "standard.license": "RF", "base.thumb_large.width": "100", "base.thumb_large.height": "150", "base.thumb_small_width": "67" } }, { "title": "Title number 2...", "metadata": { "caption": "florence italy may 12 ryder ...", "standard.license": "RF", "base.thumb_large.width": "100", "base.thumb_large.height": "150", "base.thumb_small_width": "67" } }, { "title": "Title number 3 ...", "metadata": { "caption": "florence italy may 12 ryder ...", "standard.license": "RF", "base.thumb_large.width": "100", "base.thumb_large.height": "150", "base.thumb_small_width": "67" } }, I can assert of the existence of say the first occurrance of caption but as the number of results within the one response can vary, is there any way I can check that caption exists in all of the result elements within the one response? In other words if the request returns 15 results within the one response, how can I assert that each of those 15 results contains the element 'caption' ? thanks in advance for any help11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions3.5KViews0likes1CommentPassing Response field into URI path for next test
I am doing a post to a REST webservice to create a subscriber resource. When the resource is successfully created I get { "_links": { "curie": { "href": "/rels/{rel}", "name": "rels", "templated": true }, "self": { "href": "/subscribers/13" }, "rels:add-site": { "href": "/subscribers/13/sites" }, "rels:delete-subscriber": { "href": "/subscribers/13" }, "rels:list-sites": { "href": "/subscribers/13/sites" }, "rels:update-subscriber": { "href": "/subscribers/13" }, "up": { "href": "/subscribers" } }, "email": "p.smith@xyz.com", "firstName": "Patrick", "lastName": "Smith", "organization": null, "phone": null, "salesForceId": null, "url": "www.xyz.com" } I want to say delete that subscriber then. To do so I parse out the href value out of the following: "rels:delete-subscriber": { "href": "/subscribers/13" and add /subscribers/13 to the base url and do a delete http request. How can I add /subscribers/13 to the base url of the next test case?11 years agoPlace ReadyAPI QuestionsReadyAPI Questions2.4KViews0likes4Comments
