Re: Cannot get Project Password feature to work
Robert: Thanks for taking a look at this. Here's the steps I take: - Start soapUI 3.5 Beta - Create a new project named Test1, specifying an initial WSDL - Select the Test1 project and type in "Test" into the Project Password Property value. - The project icon changes to an icon with the letter "E" in it. - Right click on Test1 project and choose Save Project This appears in my error log right after the Save Project step: Wed Feb 17 Password feature to work
According to the docs, I should be able to use the Project Password feature to encrypt the project XML file. I cannot seem to get it to work however. When I fill in the password, and choose "Save all projects...", it doesn't seem to write anything to the file (timestamp of the project file doesn't change). When I close the project and reopen it, it doesn't ask for a password. When I look at the Project Password, it's blank again. I've tried with a new project, new workspace. Same results. I have soapUI 3.0.1. Thanks for any info.2.1KViews0likes6CommentsWS-Security and certificate format
I am trying to test a WCF service with WS-Security, X.509 certificate profile. I exported my certificate to a PFX file using the Windows Certificates MMC Add-in. However it seems that soapUI doesn't understand this certificate format. After I added the cert to soapUI, the Status column says " ". The User Guide (http://www.soapui.org/userguide/project ... #Keystores) unfortunately does not mention anything about acceptable certificate formats. What certificate formats can soapUI accept? Thanks for any help.3.5KViews0likes2CommentsHow does the Load Test Limit setting really work?
I've been getting some strange results from my load tests using Thread strategy (other strategies also suffer from the same issue). It seems that if I set the Limit parameter (seconds) to a value that is not long enough, SoapUI will race through the number of threads, and ending up not doing much as shown in the exported statistic history. It seems as if SoapUI doesn't wait for threads to finish before terminating them and launching new threads to fit everything into the allotted time. The end result is when you export the statistic history, there are only a few rows of stats collected, with many expected rows missing. Specifically, I would expect a number of records for each number of threads ranging from the lower thread limit to upper. However, in my tests, I see only a few rows. Below's an example stats history export for a test that has Start Threads = 1; End Threads = 60; Limit: 15 seconds (I set this artificially low to make the point): ThreadCount, min, max, avg, last, cnt, tps, bytes, bps, err 60,15386,15386,15386,15386,1,0,3991,259,0 60,11667,21683,16675,17964,2,0,7982,444,0 As you can see... there are only two records for threads 60. Where are threads 1 to 59? If SoapUI had problems measuring threads 1 to 59, I would expect to see some sort of warning or error messages? Anyone can shed some light into this? If the Limit needs to be set higher... what is the formula for setting it so that the test works as expected? Obviously, I want to set the Limit to the minimum amount so that the test runs as quickly as possible.2.4KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Possible to save all load test result?
Nikolic: Thanks for the info. All the clicking and naming is somewhat labor intensive. That 3.0 version sounds pretty good to me. Hopefully everything is automated with a preference setting so that you don't even need to export anything.785Views0likes0CommentsRe: Possible to save all load test result?
Perhaps this is not a current feature from the GUI. What about from a script? Can I save/export all test results (stats, logs, etc.) to files? I would think that the ability to save all testing results permanently is an essential feature for any testing tool. Am I missing something?785Views0likes0CommentsPossible to save all load test result?
Is is possible to save/export all load test results to a file? I know I can export graph data, statistics, and LoadTest log to files (CSV) but I also want to save the actual SOAP error responses (double click on an entry in the LoadTest log). When load testing, I would often want to compare current results to historical results. Wouldn't it be great to be able to archive all test data in a "test run" right in SoapUI?1.9KViews0likes3Comments
