With CSS selectors option enabled, the highlight object doesn't work

Hi all,

I've got an issue related to the "Use XPath and CSS selectors for web objects" project option.

If I enable it, from the Object Spy form, after I've selected the needed object and I click on the "Highlight Object in the Object Tree", the object is not highlighted within the Object Browser Tree.

The object is correctly highlighted, instead, if the "Use XPath and CSS selectors for web objects" option is disabled.

Anyone has got the same issue or it has solved it?

Thanks and regards

Simona

Hi Simona,

If I remember it right, this is (current?) limitation of cross-platform mode due to the fact that those selectors are passed directly to Selenium engine and are not processed by TestComplete.

I believe that this is documented here (https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/web/cross-platform/limitations.html), but you may double-check this with Support (https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/message/).

Yes @AlexKaras , it is a limitation clearly documented within the link that you send.

Thanks!
