What is the difference between .mds file and .pjs file?

I have two Test Complete files that has same code but different extensions such as myscripts.mds and the other myscripts.pjs (with a little yellow folder icon on left top corner. Opening each file with different extension shows the same contents(so it seems!). What difference does it make in running each file separately?
