VS TestAgent - Degraded from 2015 to 2013

Hello,

 

Today the smartbear blog is updated under the link (https://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/87375/) in that it states that "Test Agent for Visual Studio 2015 does not support running tests in lab environments. To run tests in lab environments by using Test Manager, use test controllers for Visual Studio 2013. You can find more information about it in the MSDN Library."

 

Question:

 

Is there any specific reason why the test agent is downgraded from 2015 to 2013. Reason being to understand the complications in future if the project moves from 2013 to 2015. Any detail is highly appreciated.

    If I understand that correctly, the Test Agent in ability to run in lab environments is not something in the control of SmartBear. That's part of Microsoft Visual Studio and is a change in the test agent for Visual Studio. As suggested, follow up with the MSDN Library to get the necessary details.
