Unable to connect to active floating user license.

Hi All,

I am facing an issue in connecting to the active floating license. My scenario here is:

I have two work machines both on my name.

I am able to activate 1 floating license on one machine. But, when i try to activate the floating license (we have enough license) on the other machine. Error is thrown that no active license found.

All the machines and License manager are on the same network.

 

Is the issue is related to name? as there are on the same name.

    Hi Feroz,

     

    Not sure that I fully understood your scenario...

    Usually, for the floating licenses, the License Manager is installed on some dedicated machine and all licenses are activated there. Then all instances of TestComplete when they are starting on users' machines just connect to this License Manager and request for the license.

    Under certain circumstances you might need to activate floating licenses on separate machines, but again, these machines should have License Manager installed and activation is done via License Manager's UI.

      We use multiple licenses under one name all the time.  I don't believe that will be a problem for you.
