TestComplete test application is slow when recording tests and crashes when accessing object browser

Hi All,

 

I am running TestComplete 9.3 on a VM.

 

I am currently trying to run tests on the GUI of an Excel Add-In which is a toolbar with ribbon with many controls.

 

Anyway, I have noticed that when recording keyword tests, Excel runs extremely slow and it's quite frustrating. Is this normal? Without TC recording anything, Excel runs perfectly fine at full speed.

 

Secondly, when I switch to the Object Browser and try to look at the objects within the Excel Process, Excel immediately freezes and eventually I have to force quit.

 

Any suggestions?

    It may help to make sure there is nothing extra running on the VM.  Take a look at Task Manager.

    If u open empty excel without data u have the same?

     

    For me TC freeze when i open a datawindow with more than 200 rows - TC prolly try to identify every child.
