Searching the Object browser

I find it necessary quite often to dig through the object browser when trying to automate web page testing.  It would be so nice to have a 'Find' function to speed things up.  Elements on web pages can be buried 12, 15, even 20 levels deep, making it very difficult to find them.  Very similiar to finding things within regedit, but it has a find function.  Is there anything similiar within Test Complete?

Thanks!

  • Hi Dave,

You can find objects in the Object Browser by pointing to them on the screen (see the "Object Properties Window" help topic). Currently, there're no other means to search for them, however, we have a suggestion to implement this, and your post has increased its rating.
