Run Browser Issue

Hi, I'm just starting off with web testing after doing the majority of our automation on a windows based application.  I'm having issues right off the bat with the Run Browser

I select IE from the list of browsers and input the URL that I want.  When it runs it says "waiting for (Page*)"

The error log shoots out several errors.

1) Cannot obtain the window with the window class 'IEFrame', window caption '*' and index 0. See Additional Information for details.    9:31:04    Normal

2) The object does not exist. See Additional Information for details.    9:31:04    Higher

 3)    Then one about unable to navigate to .. and my URL

    Hi Curtis,

It looks like TestComplete doesn't recognize IE properly for some reason. Can you follow the steps below?

    1. Start IE manually and open several pages.

    2. Switch to TestComplete's Object Browser.

Do you see the Page objects under the Browser on the panel?

Please close all IE processes (possibly hanged) before test.
