What it sounds like is that somehow the script.tcscript file got corrupted in your project. It's almost as if it has been added as a script unit file itself. Once you open the project, can you take a screenshot of the script section of your project in the project explorer, expanded? That should give a visibility as to what's going on.

Why automate? I do automated testing because there's only so much a human being can do and remain healthy. Sleep is a requirement. So, while people sleep, automation that I create does what I've described above in order to make sure that nothing gets past the final defense of the testing group.
