How to add a testitem as task under Networksuite

Question

I want to run a bunch of test groups (under same project) in parallel on VM. To do so I need to create a task under Networksuite with testitem. But testComplete only allows a keyword test, script routine or Project name. There is no way to add a individual testitem or testgroup to be added.

Am I missing anything? If not then, is there a workaround to my problem?

added a request for feature: Allowing testitems to be added as a test for a task under Networksuite.

I found a workaround though. Its crude but works in my case:

1) update the project.mds file directly to enable/disable testitems.

2) Set Networksuite's delpoy mode to automatic

My script updates enables the testitem i want to run under the project file and then master copies the files to slave during task execution.

I already know about this. But I don't know how this fits in my case. I want to run tests in parallel using Networksuite, but there is no way to call a testitem on slave project from master project. I am no trying to run testitems via com or commandline.

Can you point me to the right direction.

Hi,
By knowing a script routine assigned to a test item, you can specify this routine in the Network settings.
Isn’t this work?

You could define the slave project to have the project items that you want to run, set up a Network Suite job and specify a task to run on the slave.&nbsp; The Test that you specify for the task is the slave project itself, meaning that you'll run all the project test items defined for the slave.

This is where the problem is. I have a slave project with 300 testitems. I want to divide the tests into a group of 100 tests and run in parallel on 3 separate machines.&nbsp;on Slave Project &gt; testitem tab this is how the tests are arranged&nbsp;TestGroup1&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Test11&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; Test12&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; .&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; .Test Group2&nbsp;&nbsp; Test21&nbsp;&nbsp; Test22&nbsp;&nbsp; .&nbsp;&nbsp; .&nbsp;&nbsp;Is there a workaround I can use to run testitems from NetworkSuite?
