Fifefox 99

When is TestComplete going to update the Firefox add-on to version 99? The two applications usually sync up their updates rather well. Firefox 99 has been available (and forced upon us) since April 5th. I haven't been able to test in Firefox since then. Thanks!

Knowing is half the battle. Response below...

Thanks for filing a ticket with us. Unfortunately we are currently experiencing some transitional events in our support and dev departments, and our devs currently cannot provide patches for the latest versions of Firefox. I would expect this to be resolved sometime in the coming weeks, but for now our recommendation is to downgrade firefox and turn off auto updates. If you need any assistance with this process, let me know.

Any update on this or ETA? Firefox has just released version 100, so support is now 2 versions behind.

Our environment is such that Firefox is auto-updated to the latest version within a few days of release, so the lack of Firefox patches has broken TestComplete for us. 😕

Oh right. I would stick with the suggestion for reverting your Firefox version until the patch is available.

firefox is now 3 major versions behind (https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/downloads/firefox-patches/).

chrome is now 3 major versions behind (https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/downloads/chrome-patches/).

there have been no updates for either browser for ~80+ days.

web testing with out-of-date browsers is not a realistic solution, and we're starting to go beyond "workaround" timeframes here.
