Email Test Log item [error: Unexpected error #2 in the MAPI client]

Thanks for the tip.  I visited this page per your suggestion and followed the 1st instruction, i.e. closed Outlook... and that worked.  What a simple workaround.  Thank you.

Repair Outlook MAPI

To prevent or fix a "clsMailOutlook error...MAPI (Unknown error) Function clsSendMail_Send"  when Office Outlook is the default email program in Windows, either

• ensure that Outlook is closed before opening CTI Navigator Desktop;  or
• open the Windows Task Manager, select the Outlook.exe process if it is running, and "end task" to close it (for details, see Close Email Processes below);  or
• set Outlook to "Run as an Administrator" in Windows 8, 7 or Vista (see paragraph below).
