Create NameMapping Templates using COM

Question

Hi,Is it possible to create NameMapping Templates using COM?&nbsp;Is it possible to define default set of properties TestComplete should use to identify an object? Something similar to QTP's Object Identification? I want to add a set of properties to default ones.

Hi Amar, &nbsp; All the tasks you described can be implemented via Name Mapping templates. Their creation is possible only from the TestComplete GUI.&nbsp; &nbsp;

Thank you for the reply. Going through all the objects manually and creating template for each object type is cumbersome. Having a way to do it programatically will be cool.&nbsp;

Hi Amar, &nbsp; You can consider mapping objects by specifying the needed properties when executing the test. Please read the "Mapping Objects From Scripts" article for details.
