Child window not recognized

Question

I am using the trial version right now and am really new to TestComplete. I am using the recording test function in TestComplete to click a button on our main page which then opens a child window where I want to be able to click and record movement on as well. The record function doesn't seem to recognize this new window. It has no problem recording the steps but when I go to run the test it can't find any of the objects on the child window.

Any suggestions or advice are greatly appreciated !

Seems like the object identity is changing, which TestComplete is unable to find. Have a read of https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/working-with/managing-projects/properties/open-apps/dynamic-id-wizard/specify-identifier.html?sbsearch=Object%20Identifying

For example, TestComplete is looking for an icon whose Object ID is 0, but on next run, Object ID has changed to 1.
