Unable to instrument application

Back up file of app is not creating when try to instrument app.

Facing problem

    Hi Champ,

    The things is if we want to perform instrumentation of any app,

    1. Backup the original apk in some folder.

    2.Delete the apk files from the TC in Tested apps section.

    3. Now you go for instrumenation via TC by adding the backup file in step1, (TC will make an another backup app file, so that you can save it in another location)

    You cannot instrument the app which already instrumented.

     

    Or sometime you need to instrument with certificates which you have provided with the application provider.

    Hi,

     

    This is correct.

    Elevated permissions are required to write to the <ProgramFiles> folders.

    Thus you need to put your .apk file to some custom folder outside of <ProgramFiles>  ones.
