Mobile- I want to inspect the individual web objects inside my web app pages inside the WebView.

Hi All,

I am trying to automate the Tests for my web app which opens inside the native smartBearBrowser.apk with the app URL.When I am inspecting the UI objects belonging to the smartBearBrowser.apk from object spy they are  highlighted inside the mobile device but once I have entered my web app URL in the browser and then trying to inspect the objects inside the web page then objects are not highlighted ,instead it highlights a random rectangle on the screen .

I want to inspect the individual  web objects inside my web app pages.

To Note-When I am checking the object browser tree all objects of the smartBearBrowser.apk and objects inside the WebView are available but they are not shown in the object preview except a few like form etc.

Please help me with this.

Re: Mobile- I want to inspect the individual web objects inside my web app pages inside the WebView

Hi,

If all requirements described in the https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/web/mobile/real-devices.html help article are met and no known limitations mentioned in the same article are applicable, then I would suggest to contact Support directly via the https://support.smartbear.com/message/?prod=TestComplete form.

If you contact Support, I would appreciate it if you update this thread with the findings.

Regards,
Alex
