Hi i have problem with Bitbar. I am register to trial and i want try test mobile app with testcomplete 14.81. I am continues with this tutorial https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/tutorials/getting-started/first-test/android/index.h... but i have error in adding apk to mobile screen (photo) Please help me 😞 Thanks David
As per message, there is some problem with connection capabilities that you are providing.
Have you tried to use Capabilities Creator (https://bitbar.github.io/capabilities-creator/) ?
Hi Alex, im tried appium server and set capabilites, but i must open android studio and run emulator before.. that to display the application run in the appium emulator.. (photo) - wants to accept the settings (allow permition 4x allow click) .. therefore it will not start without allowing it
bitbar just doesn't work for me, I don't know why...
I can't even map an object using the mapping button. I click on button map object from screen, but object will not be saved to the Namemapping file..
I need to know the following: 1. How do I enable permissions on the emulator so I don't have to run android studio (photo) 2. How to map the application via emulator in testcomplete. The mapped object will not be saved to me.
so i try add to keyword test install package
after run this selected operations, error in log ..
Device not found, why?
> Device not found, why?
Probably, because you did not use the Select Device operation to specify what device must be considered as the current one. See documentation for more details.
> I can't even map an object using the mapping button.
NameMapping and recording is not supported yet for cross-platform testing and must be coded manually.
> bitbar just doesn't work for me,
Any specific details? Have you read for details whole https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/mobile/device-cloud/index.html help section?
> How do I enable permissions on the emulator
I would recommend to consider the 'Grant all permissions listed in the application manifest after package install' option of the mobile Tested Application (https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/testing-with/tested-apps/mobile/android-parameters.h....
Hi! Tested application for Appium or BitBar starts automatically when you connect a new device.
In the keyword test, you just use the RunRemoteDevice operation.
I am tried RunRemoteDevice .. but before I run the RunRemoteDevice command I have to run android studio and emulator and appium server. Is there any way to do this so I don't have to run it manually before each test?
Alex: The bitbar doesn't work for me because it needs some test apk. I have only one apk and that is the app
I have uploaded the .apk application but it says some kind of message (photo): "Framework requires test file with extension: apk", why?
> The bitbar doesn't work for me because it needs some test apk. I have only one apk and that is the app
Tested application and application with test code is required for 'plain Appium' tests only.
In case of TestComplete only tested application is required.
I would recommend to read https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/mobile/device-cloud/index.html help section for details.

For sure you may create a code using TestComplete to automate start of these applications. (Not sure what for Android Studio is needed.)
But I think that it is more easy and reliable to start these applications via command line and do this as a prerequisite step before starting TestComplete.
I tried to set up bitbar according to the manual, but when I am at the step "recording" https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/tutorials/getting-started/first-test/android/start-r...
It ends up with this dialog..
I set everything up exactly as instructe.. 😞 please help me.
