How to run a test in Test Execute
My apologies for a ridiculously basic question... I justpurchased Test Execute and I am trying to run a test that I have built. 1. Installed TestExecute on test pc 2. Copied a folder with the full project from my dev machine to the test pc 3. Started TE - I see it in Task Manager but no UI 4. Clicked the pjs file in the copied folder ==>> nothing happens Do I need to install TC on the test pc?Solved1.9KViews0likes3CommentsTC Form Listbox not working
I have a TC form with a listbox containing a couple of entries. This line in a script works correctly adding a new entry at the bottom of the existing entries: UserForms.AutoTestRandomForm.JewelLB.Items.Add('33'); Allof these lines generate the same error: UserForms.AutoTestRandomForm.JewelLB.Items[1].Text := '99'; ShowMessage(UserForms.AutoTestRandomForm.JewelLB.Items[1].Text); ShowMessage(UserForms.AutoTestRandomForm.JewelLB.Items[1]); "Invalid number of parameters of the user form component property." I know Project Variables have been covered many many times but I did not find an answer to this: This code works fine, but I don't want to have to declare winMake in every procedure that accesses the application. (DelphiScript) procedure StartBtn_OnClick(Sender); var winMakeApp : OleVariant; begin TestedApps.WinMake.Run(1, true); (WinMake.exe is the name of the app I am testing) winMakeApp := Aliases.WinMake; ... do stuff with winMakeApp But when I try to create a ProjectSuite variable, OleVariant is not a supported type. How do I declare this? ThanksSolved1.3KViews0likes2Comments- 1.6KViews0likes0Comments
TestComplete flickers when test has completed
When a test has completed (successful or not), TestComplete starts flickering and while stay flickering until I click the form while the form has focus. Since it is flickering, sometimes this takes several tries. When I execute a test, the tested application is brought to focus. But then the TestComplete pops back up and blocks the test from seeing the object that it needs to click. If I start the test with the TC editor way to right so it doesn't block where the first click will be, then after the first click in the application TestComplete stays hidden. What do I need to do to hide TestComplete as soon as I start the test? I added a myTestApp -> Maximize as the very first step, but that does not help.Solved1.7KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Using variables in expressions for drop down menus
Robert - that worked with 1 very small (but important correction) Single tics around the pipe rather than double quotes. w.MainMenu.Click('[' + ProjectSuite.Variables.mnuSetup + '|' + ProjectSuite.Variables.mnuConfigDisplayAndUnits + ']'); Thanks for all the feedback! I am evaluating TestComplete to add to our SW testing. and knowing there is good active support is definitelypart of the decision!1.8KViews0likes1Comment
