my  project has been built on the machine A, but is it possible to run testComplete on  machine B without installing it on that machine?

    Hi Cyril,

No this is not possible. TestComplete or TestExecute must be installed on the machine where the tests are executed.

Hovewer, TestComplete has a functionality of Web Load testing (see the "Load, Stress and Scalability Testing" help topic for more details). If this is the case, then TestComplete/TestExecute is not need on machine B but only the small RAS component.
  • Hello Alexei,

    one more question.

if I want to use distributed testing, do I need to install testComplete on every machine? or do I just need to install it on the master machine?

    Thanks.

  • Hi Cyril,

TestComplete or TestExecute has to be installed on a master computer as well as on slave computers.
