I have searched using Google and I can find no refernce to Page("*").



What does this do?



What is the meaning of "*" ?

The Page method returns a page object that corresponds to the opened web page with the specified URL.

Page Method and the star denotes

wildcards. it means it returns object of any opened webpage.

Note that the Page method is actually native only to TestComplete (or, potentially, other automation tools).

Why automate?  I do automated testing because there's only so much a human being can do and remain healthy.  Sleep is a requirement.  So, while people sleep, automation that I create does what I've described above in order to make sure that nothing gets past the final defense of the testing group.
