PDB Window: Data extraction

Hi,

I have this PDB window in my application. We do not have the provision of configuirng MSAA objects to deal with the

child objects of PDB.

the usual text grids are not available.

I need to extract data that is tabular from the screen.

The PDB have all of it , while spying objects are listed as Combobox, DropDown, Edit and Text.

If we scan it through a different tool all should be somthing like text.

I am trying to type cast them and fetch text value. But this is not working.

Please advice if anyone has resolved similar automation.

regards,

Nawab

    Hi Nawab,

Can you share of how TestComplete recognizes your window in the Object Browser? This would help us understand its structure.

      Hi Tanya,

Please refer the Object recognition details of the window.

thats how the object appear in the Object Browser Window("pbdw125","",1).

I apologize, since working in a restricted environment I cannot post screen-shots.

Please let me know if you need more information would try to articulate in text format.

      thanks for helping.

      regards,

      Nawab

Also the Window in Object Browser is having Microsoft Window ICON in the tree hierarchy.

Is that the way it should identfy the window.

The WndClass property of this wondow is "pbdw125". Whereas of the other window that seems to be legitamate identification per test complete have a WndClass property as "FNUDO3125".

Please advice if there's any configuration to be done for the windows to be identified consistently.

The previous day NameMapping has become obsolete looking at this problem.

      regards,

      Nawab
