Access Denied - When deleting a folder using file system Object

Hi,

I am working on automating an installation and the uninsallation of a software.

Steps Involved:

1) Install software Version 1

2) Execute tests

3) Uninstall Software (Cleaning Phase, where the temp folders in the program data are deleted)

4) Install software Version 2

4) Execute Tests

5) Uninstall

This deletion of the folder, fails with , "Access is Denied".

As there is an already existing software folders(temporary) , i cannot do an install of the software again., thereby causing the instability of the system.

Followed this page: https://support.smartbear.com/viewarticle/9029/ but it is not doing me any good as of now.

How to overcome this error? Any help on this is appreciated

I would say it is the same. I think there is no difference.

The case that we are talking about is with testexecute, running on Jenkins machines.

I did try to go and find the test execute location, the default option of test execute running as administrator is checked, though i dont see the difference between them visually, at least. Is it supposed to be like that? or should i need to update the settings for this?

I'm not well versed in Jenkins... but there is a specific plugin for Jenkins support of TestComplete that MIGHT help solve this.  Additionally, I think you need to make sure your Jenkins agent is running at a particular access level.
