tristaanogre,
If we have to upgrade what is the latest version that supports Edge in Win10. We have some time as we have just started the investigation with no deadline as of yet.
Thank you both for your replies and support.
BMD.
Hi,
Depending on the Windows and Edge versions, you may also consider to try TC 12.60 Beta (https://community.smartbear.com/t5/TestComplete-General-Discussions/TestComplete-Beta-Program-Try-AI-Driven-Visual-Testing/td-p/168632)

Thank you all for the replies,
We are now running TestComplete 12.50.4142.7 x64 on one of our Windows 10 systems and the problem below still exists.
Now the problem, in my new Windows 10 environment, the object spy for object.currentStyle is not returning any attributes. In fact the ‘fields’ tab between properties and methods is not displayed in the object spy window. Also, there is no attribute under Edge in the object spy that would seem to cover this. Furthermore, under Edge in the object spy many object and attributes are not returning values as they do in Windows 7, like; readyState now = Error: Operation aborted and runtimeStyle now = Error: Member not found. Also, when opening a file a dialog box opens with options to Open, Save and a SaveAs arrow, and Cancel. This dialog box is not recognized as an object by TC in Windows 10 as it is in Windows 7.
Anymore advice as we have to move to Windows 10 and have invested time in Test Complete that seems not to function correctly in the Windows 10 environment for web applications.

There are a number of things that need to be configured to be able to test with Edge. Please go through this list.

Hi,
As I wrote, Edge is pretty different from other browsers and chances are high that you will need to adjust your test code to make it compatible with Edge. E.g. : https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/app-testing/web/general/cross-browser/handling-differences.html
And just to be on the safe side: check in the Object Browser that you switched it to Advanced view mode (when more members are shown - https://support.smartbear.com/testcomplete/docs/testing-with/exploring-apps/object-browser/about.html).

Most of my scripts run in edge except for
if (GenerateReport_Btn.currentStyle.color == "#818181")
because TC is not returning anything under currentStyle. Also, the notification window when I’m finding an object like
var PropValues = new Array ("UIAObject(\"Notification\")", "*Window(\"Frame Notification Bar\", \"\", 1).UIAObject(\"Notification\")", true);
because TC does not see the open notification object. So far that’s the only problems I see but this is a very small percentage of our overall scripts that run into the hundreds I would guess.
I sent the configuration reply to our operations department and they or looking into the Windows update KB4051963 that I did not see in the list and also the issue that they installed the program in C:\Program Files (x86)\SmartBear\TestComplete 12
Thank you all, BMD.
