Regions failing despite setting tolerance parameter
Hello everyone. I have a very odd issue. I have a couple of regions which keep failing with the following message: The images are not equal. The size of the images is different. The pixel difference is 0 %. The color difference is 100 %. There is a slight difference between the compared images. If you want the checkpoint to report them as equal, set its Pixel Tolerance parameter to 1. I have tried setting the toloerance to 1. I have even tried setting it to something silly like 9000. But no matter what I set it to it still fails. This is the line in my script which does the region check. Regions.Pipe_View_Data_Loaded.Check(Aliases.edit.wndAfx2.MDIClient.Item2.AfxFrameOrView100, false, false, 9000, 255); I set the colour parameters to 255 as I am not interested in the colour match. I am only interested in what how the pixels have plotted. Can anyone please shed some light? Thanks in advance.1.1KViews0likes2CommentsRe: Has anyone noticed TC 10.5 running slow when playing back test?
Sorry for not replying sooner. I have done what you suggested and scripts are now running faster. However I am still left wondering why this all the sudden started happeing as I used to run my test with visualizer turned on and it used to be fine. So why start now? Anyway I suppose this is a question for support to deal with but your suggestion has srtoed me out for now. Thanks again.1.3KViews0likes0CommentsHas anyone noticed TC 10.5 running slow when playing back test?
Hello all. Has anyone been experiencing poor performance with TC 10.5? Since I have been using this version I have noticed that when I playback test, not long into the test run, TC starts to grind and really slow down. As an example one of my test suites used to take 5 hours to run so I leave this running overnight. I am now running the test for the first time since upgrading to TC 10.5 and about quarter of the way into the test, TC really slows down. I left the test running overnight and came back in the morning and the test is not even half way through. What has happened to the speed in which TC runs test at? Can anyone shed some light please? Thanks in advanceSolved1.4KViews0likes3CommentsRe: Test Execute - Test fails when running via TE but perfect in TC
Yes if someone can unmark this answer that would be great because any help I can get would be awesome. I am going to try install TE on the same computer as TC to see if I can open the logs to see if this helps. Appreciate the help so far.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Test Execute - Test fails when running via TE but perfect in TC
Sorry I didnt mean to mark your response as an answer. That was an accident. I am using TE and TC 10.3. Both computers are of same specs and OS. Monitors are the same and resolutions are the same. Yes I am using name mapping1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Test Execute - Test fails when running via TE but perfect in TC
They are mainly these type of ones: The object or one of its parent objects was not found There are also the odd region check ones too which states that I need to adjust the pixel parameters. But even when I do adjust the pixel parameters and save the test then run it again. The region will still fail. SO it states that I need to set the parameters to 3546. I would usually set it ot 3600. But when re-running in TE it doesn't seem to see my changes to the scripts.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Test Execute - Test fails when running via TE but perfect in TC
Thanks Jorge. Anyone else had this issue that can shed some light on this? With our automated test portfolio rising I would like to purchase more test execute licences but if I cannot prove it reliably works then I probably wont get any funds to buy.1.8KViews0likes0CommentsRe: Test Execute - How to delete logs
I wanted to also add another question and ask if there was anyway I can see the same logs from TE but in TC. I find it easier to edit and make changes when the logs are in TC. Right now it seems that that the logs from TE are independent to the logs in TC. I would have thought they were central?752Views0likes0CommentsTest Execute - How to delete logs
Hello, Since I started using TE I have found that my test which runs fine when executing from TC actually keep failing when run from TE. Therefore I am getting a lot of unwanted logs building up and want to remove them. Is there anyway I can do this? Many thanks1.4KViews0likes2CommentsTest Execute - Test fails when running via TE but perfect in TC
Hello all, I have recently started using Test Execute to run test which I created in Test Complete. When executing the test suite via TC it runs perfectly. However I find that running the same test suite from another computer but with TE is failing. I review the failures and then update this in TC but find that the test still fails. I have ensured that I have saved the changes etc. The TE computer has exact same specs and OS. Has anyone else had this issue too? Any advice would be much appreciated.Solved2.5KViews0likes9Comments
