REST web services

I started with the Web Services test documentation and determined that it wants a WSDL to start.

Our developers are implementing a REST Web Service and there is no WSDL.

What support does TestComplete provide for REST Web Services without a WSDL?

Thanks very much.

Regards,

Curt Hicks

    Hi Curt,

As far as I know, TestComplete supports only those web services that have the WSDL. So, the answer to your question: there is no such support.

For testing RESTful Web services, please check out a dedicated Web service testing product from SmartBear: soapUI Pro.

    http://www.eviware.com/soapUI/soapui-pro.html

The long term roadmap for testing Web services is to provide a better integrated workflow for soapUI and TestComplete, rather than carry out future development of Web service testing in TestComplete itself.
