java applet - object does not exist

i have a java applet,  with 4 tabs. I recoding clicking on all 4 tabs  I use the aliases from the first 3 tabs,  and they work fine. For the fourth tab,  I tried using tabbedpanel3,  which I saw in the recording,  but I get

The object does not exist."     the script generated by the recoding does not vary from execution to execution for the fourth tab

    i was trying to create C# methods using small recordings for each step.   I created a larger recording,  and it solved the problem,  giving me better element identifiers
