Test Complete recent version Update will affect 11.40 Test complete Scripts

 

HI,

 

 

 I have written Scripts on Test Complete 11.40. If i install Latest version of Test complete, it may affect already written Scripts like Drag object Coordinates, other object.. Kindly advise me.

    Upgrading from one version of TestComplete to another typically does not affect existing tests.  Most code and tests are not tool version specific.  There are a few exceptions where certain objects are deprecated in later versions of TestComplete but those are usually clearly documented in the release information.

     

    Your best bet is to upgrade one machine, see what happens, make any adjustments, etc... or, roll back.

      Back up your whole project first just in case you don't like the results!
