Question regarding Image compare / Region check point

I have several check points which use Region compare. They work great on the same machine that took the image.

However when I deploy these over the network to other Distributed system, these image comparison failed miserably.

For all intentional purposes, let's use Notepad window prompt: "Do you want to save changes to Xfile?"



Question: What is effecting these images?

OS?

Resolution?

Color Depth?



Any Other Ideas/Tips on how to compare images?

    Image comparison is pretty unstable and should be used either as a last resort or when there is a direct requirement to compare the images. In all other cases it is more reliable to use other types of checkpoints (Property, Object, etc.).

    I would recommend to go through the http://smartbear.com/support/viewarticle/11028/ help topic (and all children ones) to get an idea about image comparison, possible problems and possible workarounds and then consider other checkpoints (http://smartbear.com/support/viewarticle/11026/).
