I am recording a test for a desktop application (made with NET) but when I finish the recording and TestComplete shows the list of recorded steps, I see that the texts entered with the keyboard were not recorded. Does anyone know why this happens?

Let's see a screenshot of your test log where the text should be.
ok, this is the window I'm testing, there's a text box where I'm typing something like "Simple v131"
but, TestComplete is not recording the typed text, only the previous click on the box
and this happens for any text I type in any text box control...
Can you insert a SetText for that box in your test and does that work? Here's an example.
Not that this is the fix you need, but I'd like to see if TC responds to the box that way.
I actually tried that option and yes, it works. But, I don't know, I feel like that option and coding the test are the same thing. There would be no real advantage in recording user actions...
Like I said, that's not the fix, but it gives you more clues.
I think at this point you should go ahead and contact Support directly. Here's the link:
I'll do that. Thank you!
Thank you Marsha!
