How to use parameetrs for http load testing ?

Thank you for your suggestions for http load testing articles. There are some questions I want to ask you at this points.



I see the example applications but I do not know how to wor with them ? How will I handle those dll files ? Do I need a special dedicated server for the example application ? any applicaiton server is enough ? for example apache tomcat server ? Which system and platform I need to work with these ?



Another problem is that there is not project file, how will I open the projects in my testcomplete ?



And yet another problem is that Ver.8 does not offer any vuser, so how will I run these example tests for http testing ?

I couldn not work with samples but meanwhile I read the artices  in the Load Testing Advanced Tutorial that you suggested before.



There are points I do not understant.



The first questions is that how will connect these variables to my task or test ? I can create some variables but the connection issues is not mentioned in the tutorial or help pages, or I could not find it.



Another problem is that, when I follow the instructions, I only takes a colon from my access page. Also by selection ListVariables options, it takes manue input or generate something for a number of desired users, but the point is that, will I have to make another "New Variable" from strach for every variable needed in a task ?



And yet another issue I wonder is that how can I use an excell file with load testing ? Load testing variable wizard only deals with manuel, generated names or databaes files. Currently I found that only data-driven tests work with excell files, but to do that ı have to record a keyword test. Besides access and others, I want to use excell files with laod testing also.



How can I Solve this problems, plase help.

The samples are installed during TestComplete installation on your local IIS (if you have IIS on your machine).
