Can't figure out how to add simple checkpoint to TextBox

I'm very new to TestComplete.  I can't  figure out how to add a simple checkpoint to verify a value.  I keep getting Incorrect value for Text.  Please specify an appropriate value.

Try "15142"

the quotes make it a string

Same error whether it's "15142", '15142' , `15142` or blank.
