local windows install of Editor

I cannot get the swagger-editor installed on my system using the installation instructions available. I have node.js loaded, I have http-server loaded - What version of editor shuld I use and where do i put the swagger-editor index.html & /dist so the thing works? I want to go with swagger, but if Icannot demonstrate - locally - its uefulness, I will not get any approvals or moreimportantly money to do so. Rather not default to the ESB vendors attempt at a tool.
