Authenticating swagger within grape swagger

Hi

I am hoping someone can help me I am trying to use swaggerr to document an API.  The actual authentication is on a different server so there is no user password.  The token is current saved via cookie .  As soon as i enter the swagger_doc initial screen  http://xxxxxxxxxx/api/swagger_doc i receive 401 : {"message":"401 Missing Token"} (url x'd out due to security)

Can someone please help
