SSL with HTTP (HTTPS) using keystore

Hi all;
I'm using the SOAPUI pro trial version , generating a service call to a service provider representing a subset services using HTTPS protocol. I've generated a key pair for the server and the soapUi client within the separate keystore files. Previouslly , i've tested the WS-Security with HTTP using these files successfully and there where no problem. When using the HTTPS without WS-SECURITY , i introduced the keystore file into the "ssl settings" panel within the "SOAPUI preferences". But it seems that the SOAPUI pro doesn't use the private key generated in the keystore file. Normally , The SOAPUI pro must use a session key to encrypt the message. To make the session key , the SOAPUI pro must know it's client private key. But apparently it doesn't refer to the keystore file for this. Could any one please explain what is going on behind the HTTPS protocol?
