SOAP Response - Failed

Hi

This may be somewhat of a very basic question but I am intermittmently running into an issue that is proving the below error.
"SOAP Response Failed
line -1: error: Unexpected element: TAG_END
line 1: Unexpected element: TAG_END"

The issue is occuring when completing an insert for a large volume of entries using test steps data source to read input and test request to build my message I am recieving this message after approx 160-165 entries.

If anybody has encountered this issue before any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am using version 4.6.1 of SOAPUI Pro.

    Hi,

    Can you give more insight into your test case setup, how large the data you are reading with the DataSource test step, and what type of file(s) you are reading from i.e. csv, excel, etc.?

    Hi,

    Sure I am reading in from an excel file and I have 231 columns populated with data.

    The test request step is building an XML complete with using WSS.

    Hi,

    Are you using the data source in a load test?

    I will try to reproduce locally, but if you could send a project showing the problem that can help.

    The latest version of SoapUI Pro is 4.6.3. You could try the latest version and see if that problem still occurs.
    Also please verify the excel file data is correct.

    Hi Marcus,

    Yes I am using the data source in a load test.

    Unfortunately I cannot send a copy of the project due to the content.

    The excel file has 231 specified columns and 1490 rows of data that I am attempting to load.
    The excel works if I have a smaller number of rows. I have also noted today that I am experiencing this issue even only submitting one application

    I will attempt to get access to 4.6.3.

    Can you please do following and let's know the results:
    1. Auto proxy might be acting up - so change the proxy settings to None if you are not using the proxy.
    2. Check the XML sent for the request (in Raw request view) for which this error appears - that XML might be malformed or the data fetched from the file might have some special character which makes it malformed.

    I am not using the Proxy.
    I took the raw xml message and ran it through an xml validator and did not receive any error.
