Have to trigger a Groovy script When a Test Step is Run

Hi Team

 

Please help me in below scenario,

 

I need to run a test step, when I changed the property name. It has to change host name as per the property configuration. When I tried with TestRunListener.beforeStep It isn't working.

    It is not possible / standard way to run an arbitrary test step using Events.

    More or less, it is quite common to change the property value. When do you change property name? Does it not lost the significance if property name itself is changed? The property name references cause issue during run time. Isn't it?

    Please clarify the use case.
