Can't open similar project in NG

I used to be able to take a existing project, save it with another name, change the endpoints and a few other items.

Now when I do that I have to keep the projects in different workspaces because SoapUI NG continues to see them as the same project. 

Let me recap - two projects with different file names, different content and different project names are seen as the same project in a workspace.
