Stack Trace when sending basic username and password

Hi folks. I am trying to start a Soap testing project. If is send a request and don't include a username and password (No Authoization) I get a stach trace. If I try and use basic authentication with a username and password, I also get a stack trace. It loos like the basic authentication is being sent if I look at the raw data. I checked this out with the owner of the webservice (WSDL) and they said it should be working. They asked if there was a way to set the authentication method to "PasswordText". I don't know if that would help, but I don't see a way to do that anyway. Please see the attached screen shot.
