Some windows or full UI hang in SoapUI 5.6.0 on Windows 10

Some windows hang, meaning that they can`t be closed either by clicking on the cross nor by menu Desktop>Close current. It happens with windows SoapUI Start Page and request editor.

Also, their content disappeared. See following screenshot:

I tried deleting files default-soapui-workspace.xml and soapui-settings.xml but didn't fix the problem, that in the case of Start Page happens even if no other action is performed since tool starts, as can be seen on the second screenshot:

Hang2.png

I also tried launching the tool via soapui.bat file instead of SoapUI-5.6.0.exe. The issue persists but a console shows some logging:

Other times the whole UI gets frozen after running a GET request, and SoapUI needs to be killed.

System is a Windows 10 Pro 20H2 build 19042.985 64bits with 8GB RAM.

Any help would be appreciated.

David

Re: Some windows or full UI hang in SoapUI 5.6.0 on Windows 10

Hi @dlopez831

Can only help about the "SoapUI Start Page", because I got the same behavior.

Once into SoapUI, go to "Preferences" and uncheck this option:

But can't find any issue resolution about the request editor hanging.

Re: Some windows or full UI hang in SoapUI 5.6.0 on Windows 10

Thanks @ZDGN

Unfortunately its is the least of the problems (as also mentioned in thread https://community.smartbear.com/t5/SoapUI-Open-Source/SoapUI-5-6-0-Cannot-close-windows/m-p/204890), but thanks for the help anyway.

For now, I'm using version 5.5.

Regards
