Running Load Test with Different Parameters

I am new to SOAPUI so if this is a question that is simple to answer then I apologise in advance.
I am trying to understand how to set up a pre-defined list of parameters to give to a request. For example if i had a request called addName and want to add 1000 names how would I do this?
I have found a properties window where you can add values but does this recognise a list? If i enter fname, lname and specific data and repeat that in this window will it treat it loop through the data when runing a test case?
Any information would be good.
