Problem with storing data in excel file. File gets corrupt and destroyed!!

Hello,

 

So in this new version 3.4, suddenly, when we try to store data in a excel-file, instead of storing the data it destroys the excel file (where it becomes 0kb)...

 

What causes this issue and how can we fix this?

    Hey PtheG,

    This should be raised im the ReadyAPI! forum.

    Anyway, theres multiple ways of storing data in a spreadsheet, can you please confirm what test step youre using? (Datasink? Groovy? Events?)
    Also when you say "it destroys the file", can you please clarify what you actually mean by this.....do you mean the file contents are deleted out of the file so it reverts to a zerobytes file? Just a bit more info to clarify would help a lot.

      Hi,

      richie makes some good points.  For example, the data sink test step has a checkbox that will overwrite or append to an existing file.
