Make app useable on Mac?

I can't seem to close editors, move them, or otherwise easily navigate the application. Basic functionality of a windowing system is lacking. How do other mac users use this application? Is there some hidden configuration checkbox I'm not seeing? "System > Preferences > Make SoapUI usable on Mac" not enabled by default?
