SocketTimeout on SoapIU 5.4 on MacOS 10.14.1

I recently moved from Windows 7 to a Macbook Pro with MacOS 10.14.1. I downloaded SoapUI 5.4 and exported then imported my project.

 

What happens now, is that I get a sockettimeout exception when I try to send a SOAP message to one of our servers. However if I do a CURL <url>?wsdl on the terminal it works fine. 

I cannot start a new SOAP UI project using the link to that wsdl in SOAPUI.

 

Am I missing something?
