How does it work
As we have right now its associated to a unique IP address
Is there any way to have floating licenses on a server so user can check them out
or do they always have to be associated to the IP address.
I am just trying to see if there is a better way to do this which is also secure.
From what I know, you would need a server set up to act as a license server. That would dole out licenses to users, who have to check them in and out.
Example: License server has 3 floating licenses.
User 1 checks out a license.
User 2 checks out a license.
User 3 checks out a license.
User 4 needs a license. User 4 has to wait until User 1, 2, or 3 check their license back in.
