JsseListener NullPointerException when using HTTPS for Virt

Hello,

I recently transfered my license for ServiceV/Virt Server to another employee for her to takeover this work. The services we have virtualized use HTTPS and I created a keystore for this and added it to the servers which will access the Virts. This works fine if I, for example, were to transfer the ServiceV license back to my account and run the Virt, however, when I transfered the Virt to her account I get the following exception when trying to run the Virt (regardless of it being on Virt Server or local):

java.io.IOException: ! JsseListener: java.lang.NullPointerException

If I change the Virt to be HTTP instead of HTTPS then it will start but the exception above is thrown when I attempt to start it using HTTPS on her account. Like I said, if I were to transfer the license back to my account then everything would work.

Any ideas?

  • It sounds like it is a keystore problem. When the Virt is running with HTTPS on your coworkers machine have you made sure that the keystore is accecible from the correct location?
