SSL Request Time

Hello,

we are running SoapUI 3.6.2 on a Windows Server 2008 R2 x64. We configured a Test request for accessing a webservice and requesting data from that service. The connection to the webservice is secured by SSL using the Keystore/ Certificate tab inside the SoapUI project. The first reply from the webservice takes more than 20 seconds, starting with the second reply the reply needs only 7 seconds. The Windows Server 2008 R2 is member in Active Directory and is using the Active Directory DNS Server. When we remove the DNS Servers from the Windows Server 2008 R2 configuration the first reply takes only about 7 seconds too.

Best,

RHeinze

    Hi,

well, it sounds to me as if the initial DNS lookup is taking more time when you have the DNS server set to the Active Directory DNS Server, so for some reason that DNS is slower then the default one. What if you specify the IP instead of the hostname, do you see the same behavior?

    regards,
