Retaining custom parameters when refactoring APIs

Hi, I am using ReadyApi v1.8.5 and explored option "Refactoring".

While creating a project, I imported definitions from  Swagger and added few custom parameters to the definition. Please note that these are not part of swagger definitions but required parameters to run the tests in "Test" Environment. When Dev team refactors APIs, I am using "Refactoring" option to update my SOAPUI definition. But it wipes out all the custom parameters. is there any way to keep the custom parameters or to copy them to new definition while refactoring?
