FAQ - Can an Escalation Rule update the item that triggered the rule?

If you want to change the Status or any other field on the item with the Escalation Rule, look at Step 4 when you define the rule. Use Add Row. Click the drop down for the Field Name, where you can select any available field on the item, then enter or select the Value that you want.
